Circle Music After the 1968 Riot on H Street NE; Today

This is a scene after the April riot on H Street NE of 1968. This is probably one of the less devastating shots, but regardless, it's possible to see the broken windows of Circle Music, a store that sold electronic appliances and televisions. There's also noticeable fire damage on both Circle Music and Kopy Kat across 11th Street NE. A look at the photo of the area today shows that the building next to what was Circle Music looks exactly the same and currently houses a Thrift Store. If the "after" photo looks oddly familiar, it's because we've found an old photo from that spot before. Still, the H Street NE of 1968 is very different from the H Street NE of 1919.
