The day of reckoning for the Living Wage Bill will be Friday, if not sooner. To recap, if Mayor Vince Gray passes the bill approved by the City Council, large retailers such as Wal-Mart will have to pay their employees at least $12.50 an hour, but Wal-Mart will pull out of at least three of their six planned D.C. stores. If Gray vetoes the bill, Wal-Mart will remain, but their employees will make something closer to D.C.'s minimum wage of $8.25 an hour. Now, we wait. [WaPo]
