Taxicab Confessions

In bad news for the D.C. Taxicab Commission and good news for Uber, Ward 3 Councilmember Mary Cheh will be releasing new legislation imminently that will make the Commission's newest set of regulations regarding what they consider to be a sedan. This vague and dicey definition of a sedan was what the DCTC had used to prove that UberX was acting illegally by utilizing mid-sized Toyotas for their fleet. This will not be the first time that Cheh has taken up for Uber and somehow we doubt it will be the last. [DCist]
