Metro Madness

Montgomery County residents can start to breathe easier as WMATA has announced that a long-term closure of the Red Line between Friendship Heights and Medical Center will not be eminent and may not be necessary. Water is leaking into a Red Line tunnel, but the next five to six months will be spent trying to find alternative methods to plug the leaks. Furthermore, if no alternative method can be found, the repairs to the tunnel would not begin for another two years. [BethesdaNOW]
