Following a promise to show his commitment to renewable energy back in 2010, President Obama is having solar panels installed on the White House this week. It's a progressive move for an old structure, but actually not the first time the White House has utilized solar panels. President Jimmy Carter actually had them installed in 1979, but President Reagan later had them removed. Well, that's one way to one-up your predecessor.
