Former PG County Clerical Home On the Market for $630K

New, 1 comment

You can live in your own piece of Maryland history if you want to buy the former St. Mary's Rectory in Prince George's County. We've seen churches, schools and fire hydrants repurposed as condos and hotels, but this 19th century home which used to hold the parishioner for St. Paul's Parish until 1977 has retained a lot of its historic charm. Yes, it was restored in 2011 so that it doesn't have the musty look and smell (or for that matter, the asbestos) that screams "historic reenactment," but there's still exposed brick in the shower and by the fireplaces. We counted at least three fireplaces. Also, the details on the door hinges are very intricate. This 5 bedroom home on the National Register of Historic Places is asking just under $630K.
