Metro had already come across looking like the fun police when they threatened to arrest the Henry Docter, the man who had added some life to the Dupont Circle station by planting flowers around the Q Street escalator. They must have thought that Docter would ignore their threats and continue to tend to the flowers, so they pre-emptively yanked them out over the weekend. This is particularly upsetting to the community leaders who had been promised a meeting with Metro regarding the future of the flowers. Photo by Julie Meloni. [WaPo]
