A Look at the $15K in Damage to the National Cathedral

The Washington National Cathedral just can't get a break. Doesn't it seem like they just received some of the funding to fix the $20 million in damage caused by the 2011 earthquake? Yet earlier this week, the same vandal that splattered green paint on the Lincoln Memorial decided to make a modern art project out of two of the cathedral's chapels. In addition to splattering paint on a historic organ and church pews, they also hit the Children's Chapel, a building with size-appropriate seating and decor. We've got a photo gallery above of the aftermath and the initial work that's begun in regards to removing the paint. Naturally, they're taking donations as they're estimating repairs to come in at $15,000.
