There are few things worse for renters than moving in with roommates before realizing that their living habits and yours don't mesh. Thankfully, the guys in this group house in Fairfax are not only up front about their status as a practice space for several bands, but they actually name check one of the bands: Simone & the Spectrum. This is particularly helpful for the discerning music snob who might be a dedicated metal head or noise music lover and would therefore find the sounds of this adult contemporary band with reggae-lite guitar sound and a Florence Welch-esque female singer to be nails on a chalkboard. This could honestly be applied to anyone that doesn't want to live in a band house regardless of their listening preferences. For those to whom constant access to local Northern Virginia bands appeals, rent is $550 a month.
