It's Official: Timothy Geithner Completes Sale in Bethesda

New, 1 comment

The Bethesda home of Timothy Geithner which went under contract less than a week after hitting the market is now officially sold. The former Treasury Secretary did receive his asking price of $995,000, so he made $45K off the four bedroom house that he bought in 2009. Redfin agent Maribelle Dizon says that the housing market was a little stronger in March when the house went under contract, but that if that house was put on the market today, it would probably not go for quite as high of a price. Still, Geithner didn't make $45K off the sale without putting some effort into remodeling. Dizon states that they had put corian countertops onto the kitchen which now opened up into the family room but had kept the original details of the bathrooms. We've got some more photographs of the now sold house after the jump.
