One of the things that keeps D.C. from being the concrete jungle of other metropolitan areas is that the trees aren't quite so few and far between. In fact a survey from A Trust for Public Land ranks D.C. number six out of fifty major cities in terms of park accessibility. What's more, even the areas that don't have much green space are spending lots of money to remedy that. In fact, most of the city has access to these parks, not just the more affluent wards. We're going to take a look at these parks more closely in the next few weeks, so tell us your favorite oases of trees and grass in the comments.
