Civil Rights Mural Pasted onto 14th Street Building

New, 6 comments

We noticed while walking down 14th Street NW last week that this mural of what looks like Civil RIghts era photos has been either painted or pasted onto the T Street facing exterior of this building. The slogan "I am a Man!" which you see over and over again was used on several signs during the Memphis Sanitation Strike. This mural is on the same block as the Louis at 14th development project. We just noticed it last week but if it's been there longer, let us know in the comments.
