Thanks for spending Hotels Week with us here at Curbed DC. Before checking out for the week, we've compiled some photos of just a few of the excellent penthouses and presidential suites that our city has to offer. So, if you want a private dining room included in your stay or a panoramic view of the city, check out some of the photos of the penthouses that we've compiled after the jump.
This penthouse includes an interesting mixture of bright colored accents and purple furniture. It's fun and current but it still has the chandeliers in the room to serve as a reminder of its status.
Sofitel Washington DC Lafayette Square:
This modern looking suite comes complete with office space and a few cozy red couches. Also, the mood lighting in the (also red) bedroom is impressive.
The gold and brass highlights to everything from the artwork to the bed posts give the Thomas Jefferson suite an old-fashioned yet thoroughly regal appeal. The old maps on the wall are also a nice touch.
The pool isn't the only thing that's amazing at the top of the Donovan House. The view from the leather couches is spectacular and this is one of the more modern penthouses we've found.
This suite at the Hay-Adams has its own dining room! You can get room service and eat in style. Plus, the bedroom has an up close and personal view of the White House and the Washington Monument.
The dining room table and kitchen almost give this penthouse the feeling of home. Yet "home" usually doesn't have floor to ceiling windows and touches that make the experience feel more grand than quaint.
