While, some of the hotels we're profiling this week sell themselves based on proximity to the monuments or luxurious amenities, suburban hotels' most valuable amenity may be a vending machine full of Dr. Pepper. Less expensive hotels on the edges of the Metrorail system admit that due to the effects of sequestration, they depend on the large eighth grade school trips to D.C. to keep themselves afloat. [WaPo]
