In further proof that the design process for the Eisenhower Memorial "moves like a snail," a House of Representatives subcommittee approved a bill that will reopen the design process to other architects. The current design by Frank Gehry has been panned by members of Congress, other designers and the former president's family. It's unclear when the full House of Representatives will consider the subcommittee's bill and it's starting to become unclear whether this beleaguered memorial will ever come to be. We've got a poll after the jump wherein we pit the completion of the Eisenhower Memorial against other unlikely events. Put in your vote as to which one will occur first.
