Lately, it's not only getting harder for visitors to park in the District. Even with signage restricting aforementioned visitors from parking in certain areas for any amount of time during the day, changing street regulations (and in some cases, apartment building regulations) are making it harder for car owning residents to find an on-street spot for their vehicle. However, after Sherman Avenue's parking regulations changed from the 2 Hour Parking; Zone 1 Exempt to 4 Hour Parking, residents who could no longer park on the street overnight sent in complaints to Ward 1 Councilmember Jim Graham. Believe it or not, the protests were effective: the 2 Hour Parking; Zone 1 Exempt signs are returning.
