New, 4 comments

The former home of Paul Laurence Dunbar, one of the most honored poets from the turn of the last century, has just hit the market. Dunbar, who lived in the LeDroit Park home with wife, Alice, from 1898 until 1902 was one of the first nationally recognized African-American writers with a play and several volumes of poetry and he received a ceremonial sword from President Teddy Roosevelt. His 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home has grown up quite nicely over the last century and ask for the home is just under $700,000.
