Construction on an Adams Morgan luxury hotel is slated to start later this year. The project, currently called the Adams Morgan Historic Hotel will incorporate the First Church of Christ, Scientist building in its plans. The church (whose congregation has since moved to another site down the street) will be transformed into a restaurant and the hotel's primary meeting space. We've got some renderings of the eight story project, looking to be Washington's first green hotel, provided by the developers and visible on the Adams Morgan Historic Hotel website.
