A Look at the Franklin School in 1930s and Today

Today's building, The Franklin School at 13th and K Street NW actually hasn't changed that much since the earlier photo was snapped in the 1930s. That's because the Franklin School was built in 1869 and named a National Historic Landmark in 1996. From the inside, the former school and homeless shelter's crumbling would be noticeable, but what really dates the "before" photo are the old motorcars.
