Some local developers have proposed a larger retail and office space in Congress Heights, but until/unless that comes to fruition, the residents in Southeast might be able to enjoy some temporary shopping as soon as Labor Day. The retailers will have pop-up space at the pavilion the city is planning on building at the end of the month to house local and national food retailers. Plus, the ever-present food trucks will come to this site at St. Elizabeth's, by the Congress Heights metro.
