Branson Wire

Virgin Group Founder Sir Richard Branson has spoken of opening one of his Virgin Hotels in D.C. for years, and now some of that talk is getting slightly more specific. The magnate has not decided on a location, or whether he wants to convert a historic building or start from the ground up, but Virgin has been in talks with local GSA expert Theo Bell of Epic Consulting to get some on the ground advice. Virgin already packs Merriweather Post Pavilion every year with several thousands of people for their early fall FreeFest, so why not give them a place to stay as well? [Bisnow]
