["Before" image courtesy of Lyndalu Cokinos] Today we have a look at a D.C. storefront from 1919 and its modern day counterpart. In the early part of the 20th century, Goody's Confectionary took up residence on the corner of the 1100 block of H Street NE. These days, the business in that spot serves a more adult type of treat. Even as the landscape changes around that corner, it's still home to a Convenience Beer & Liquor Store (which is technically at 1101 H Street NE, so the photo shows that and the adjacent Thrift Store.
