Curbed Readers living in much of D.C.'s portion of the Red Line will have to endure single tracking this weekend. There will be single tracking between Van Ness and Dupont circle on the west side of the line and between Takoma and Rhode Island Avenue on the east side of the line. So, be ready to endure longer waits at stations, but additionally, breathe a sigh of relief. Considering the fire on the tracks earlier this week at Silver Spring, possibly caused by a loose part hitting a power cable, the Red Line could probably use some extra TLC.
