D.C. United, the pro soccer team, is talking to a top official in the Mayor's office about a deal to build a new stadium on Buzzard Point in Southwest. The same guy that worked on the Nationals Park and the convention center, said he hopes to have the framework for a deal "inside of a year." The team will pay for construction costs and the new stadium will seat at least 20,000; they currently play at Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium. [WaPo]
