Half Street Market Supporters Keep Pushing To Re-Use Building

Capitol Riverfront residents really want an unused 30,000-square-foot warehouse turned into a public venue for a food market, restaurant, and community space. The so-called 'Half Street Market' concept will come up at a hearing this Thursday and the supporters started a petition in support of the project last Friday. The federal government owns 49 L Street SE, the building for which the groups have already created the concept and renderings, so getting control of it may be a challenge.
