Behold, Monroe Street Market, the mixed use development at the southern edge of Catholic University has grown quite tall recently. Once completed, the project will have a massive amount residential space— 720 units— along with space for art studios, a community arts center. That comes with a side of 800 parking spaces. The peak you see there is destined to be the clock tower, because that's that what goes on the exterior when you have an alpine lodge-like lobby. The building under construction now is the 562 apartments by Bozzuto called Brookland Works, which is supposed to be complete in June. Two more buildings — Portland Flats and Cornerstone — are supposed to open in October 2013 and January 2014, respectively.
