Hyattsville has been pushing their art scene for a few years now and as of April 1st they're hoping artists will move into a new building designed just for them. The 243-unit Palette Apartments is configured so the units maximize the natural light and have enough space for someone to set up a painting studio/sculpture space/interpretive dance area. One of the three towers in the building has a communal art studio that comes with art supplies for residents to use. Other modern amenities include: the pet spa, rooftop deck with bar & fire pit, indoor/outdoor cyber café with coffee bar, and fitness center. Some of the units come with iPod docking stations, fireplaces, and something they call 'art niches'. Best news of all for the artists is the outpost of a Busboys and Poets restaurant in the neighborhood.
