Mid-Century Modern In Massachusetts Avenue Heights

Massachusetts Avenue Heights is known more for colonials and Tudors so here's a refreshing mid-century modern to gaze at right on 31st St NW. Designed by architect Arthur Keyes, it begins with a wider than usual floating staircase in the foyer and has a huge enclosed sunroom with one of those endless spa pools that you can turn on and 'swim forever'. There's a sauna, a porch on the upper level that looks over the trees, and we're loving the peek-through window above a kitchen sink with a Frank Lloyd Wright motif. The $2,995,000 four bed, five bath house was built in 1950 so its mid-century pedigree is indisputable.
