Famous Family Of Yesteryear DC Pops Back Up On The MLS

It wasn't that many decades ago that the surname Alsop would be met with nods of recognition from anyone who socialized in the upper echelons of DC society. Brothers Stewart and Joseph Alsop were reporters for many high-profile publications and constant fixtures in the DC political scene. The Woodley Park home belonging to Stewart and his wife Tish, both deceased, has just come on to the market for $1,690,000. The four bed, three bath has a 'garden room' with tall windows and great views. Plus a formal dining room off of a galley style kitchen on the first floor. While it isn't as fancy as Joseph Alsop's Georgetown house that was redone and profiled in shelter mag House Beautiful it still has the classic charm the Alsops were known for.
