Should anyone out there find themselves in need of a medieval Italian suit of armor or a replica of the Canterbury Cathedral bells there's an auction on Wednesday they should take note of. A few belongings from the estate of Marjorie Merriweather Post (heiress to the Post cereal fortune) are going on the block, including the Bavarian sleigh (pictured), with prices starting in the low thousands. Most of these pieces have never been on display her house-turned-museum so the public is seeing them for the first time. The museum isn't selling them because they're short on funds, but because they don't fit in with what they display—French and Russian artifacts are more their jam—and so they can use the money for future acquisitions.
