Another Week, Another Revision To The McMillan Site

McMillan Sand Filtration rendering are from Scott Roberts via bloomingdale.

The McMillan Sand Filtration Site on North Capitol Street has seen many iterations of the plan to change up the space. Word is the newest version will have a one-acre park in the site's NE corner, row houses have been eliminated from Channing Street, more room for wheels, and more space to roam. To make sure there's a wide array of people living here, the plan allots space for affordable housing but not necessarily senior housing. Also included is rumors of a "premium" grocery store for the site, so let's dream big. To hear more about the details for the site, the Community Meeting on Preliminary Building Designs is Saturday, April 20.
