What You Can Rent For $800 Around Washington D.C.

Welcome back to Curbed Comparisons, a column that explores what one can rent for a set dollar amount in various local neighborhoods. Is one man's studio another man's townhouse? Let's find out! Today's price: $800.

This $700 per month plus utilities rental is a one-bedroom share in a coed group house close to Carter Barron and Rock Creek Park.

? This one is a little depressing. It is a shared studio for $800 a month at MacArthur Blvd 5100 NW. The roommate is a single female and you'll have to bring your own bed and dresser.

There aren't any pictures of this one in Petworth, but it is an $800 a month houseshare with the contradictory statement, "Smokers okay. No cigarettes."

? This Brightwood 1 bedroom for $880 a month is a way to have your own place with a full kitchen and no roommate hassles. Of course, the only pictures are of the kitchen and bathroom so it makes us wonder what the bedroom looks like.

? Out in Annandale there's this basement apartment for $800 a month in a house with a family. So that means there's shared laundry in the basement and they cryptically deny kitchen privileges ("you're welcome to have a kitchen and fridge in the basement").

? Here's another one with no interior pictures, but the deets are: private, fully furnished one bedroom for $735 per month. It is walking distance to walk to Columbia Heights and Cardozo Metro stations.
