There's a grassroots movement in Columbia Heights to get people to smile more. First they tweaked the DC logo to make it a little more friendly and then they installed an oversized chalkboard near The Coupe on 11th Street that asks people to write down what makes them smile. And if you know someone who could use a smile but isn't going to walk by the chalkboard then they'll send them one of four sayings that will surely turn that frown upside down (see choices after the jump). Make DC Smile has hinted that they have some more projects to unveil over the next few months and they're looking for ideas so send them in to makeDCsmile@gmail.com if you have one. For now they have active Facebook and Twitter pages and the website is coming soon.
