The former house of the former mayor—and current DC Councilmember—Marion Barry has just had a price cut down to $469,000. This was where he and his then-wife Effi lived during his first three terms as mayor (before he served his jail sentence for drug possession etc.) and was briefly a part of its own controversy over a discounted mortgage. Oh the things these walls have seen! The Hillcrest four bed, three bath is 2,040 square feet with two fire places and lots of updates. Barry built the basketball hoop in the back yard for his son when he lived there and the photo looks as though it might be the same one.
