Sometime in April, before the college graduation crowds, Georgetown is getting a completely revamped hotel with a throwback to the one-time Georgetown resident Alexander Graham Bell. In a press release yesterday Bell is described as someone who, "personified the intersection of modern ingenuity with historical significance" and the new Graham Georgetown hotel aimed to achieve the same balance with their architecture and design. There will be a new 3,000-square-foot rooftop bar that overlooks all the important points in DC's skyline and a 1,000-square-foot cocktail lounge just below the first floor. The 57-room hotel includes a new 24-hour fitness center that the previous hotel didn't have.
