Absorbant and Yellow and Full of Letters. SpongeBob MailPants!

New, 2 comments

It turns out that SpongeBob SquarePants doesn't just live in a pineapple under the sea, he lives outside of the National Postal Museum next to Union Station. This SpongeBob MailPants Campaign is a joint effort that children's television network Nickelodeon has with the United States Postal Service. Ostensibly (based on the brief webisodes), the idea is that the children of the e-mail generation will learn to appreciate messages sent via snail mail and perhaps also to encourage good handwriting. To be fair, it is the season of letters to Santa Claus, so why not send those on accompanying SpongeBob SquarePants postcards? If anyone knows how long this yellow kid-friendly mailbox has been sitting here, let us know in the comments.
