Last year's reigning champion, Anacostia, took some flack from the French government, but got a lot of love from the National Building Museum. Also, the H Street Playhouse moved in and rebranded as the Anacostia Playhouse. As a reminder, it also has one of the city's best murals by its metro stop.
They're facing Mt. Vernon Square, this year's biggest construction oasis. Behemoth project CityCenter DC has started leasing their apartments and has confirmed tenants Tumi and Kate Spade.
