Georgetown has big development plans over the next fifteen years and luring millennials to the neighborhood features into those plans. Considering that upcoming restaurant Pinstripes doubles as a fourteen-lane bowling alley/six court bocce complex, the Georgetown BID is not taking this task lightly. There are currently 2500 bocce players in the greater D.C. area, making it one of the most popular social sports amongst young adults. Also, this addition to Shops at Georgetown Park will only be the second public bowling alley open in D.C. proper. It's sort of cheesy, yes, but who doesn't like bowling? This new bright spot in the neighborhood's social landscape is due to open next year.
