The Villages at Dakota Crossing, the expansive luxury town-homes popping up next door to the District's only Costco, has entered the third and final phase of its construction, and could bring a bit of life to the sleepy section of Northeast. If the idea of luxury townhouses next to a wholesale warehouse seems odd, note that the entire retail plaza is under redesign. Restaurants and a fitness center will also arrive soon to the neighboring Shops at Dakota Crossing. The third phase will contain about 120 of these 1600 to 2700 square foot town-homes, making it the largest of the three. Construction will be completed gradually between 2014 and 2015. Ask will start at $400K.
