U STREET — Here's another cool and meaningful piece of public art. Last night developer JBG dedicated a glass statue called Pillar of Fire at the original site where the Whitman Walker Clinic had helped people at the beginning of the AIDS epidemic. Ward One Councilman and former Whitman Walker director Jim Graham spoke at the dedication.
MORTGAGE RATES — In a sign that the economy is improving after the shutdown, the 30-year fixed mortgage rate have gone up for the first time in three weeks. The current rate is 4.05% according to Zillow.
