It's official, December 4th will be the grand opening day for the city's first two Wal-Marts. So, for a change of pace the storm of shoppers will come on a day that's not Black Friday. The Georgia Avenue and H Street NW stores moved forward quickly after Mayor Vince Gray's veto of the Large Retailer Accountability Act, opening hiring centers within days of the bill's dissolution. Meanwhile, the apartments at 77H (above the H Street Wal-Mart) have not yet started leasing.
