Award For Creepiest Juxtaposition of Old & New Buildings

New, 2 comments

It goes to the new 10-story office tower at 655 K Street NW. The project that the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) is putting up has appeared previously in this rundown of central D.C.'s construction sites. What got overlooked somehow is that these old boarded up houses are still standing in front. What's more, according to the renderings that Douglas Development has made available, those facades will remain adjacent to the new building. Please oh, please say that those old buildings are being restored. It may look nice once the big glass building has been completed, but right now it just looks like the past is haunting this new project.
