That David Adjaye, the man behind the design of the National Museum of African American History and Culture, has plans to design the most expensive luxury condos in the city is pretty exciting. But there's only so much one can do with the exterior of a property that's a contributing part of the Georgetown Historic District. Kind of makes this rendering showcasing the new look of the Georgetown Heating Plant seem rather pointless, doesn't it? Which is to say, the stairs look nice, but there's not a noticeable difference between the design of the future and look of the present. Evidence of Adjaye's impressive signature style must be hidden in the interior.
