Which 1BR Condo is The Best Deal in the West?

Good afternoon, Curbed readers. It's time for another Real Estate Death Match! Last week's bout saw Columbia Heights rebounding from a close loss the week before to handily defeat its opponent on the Southwest Waterfront. This week, we're scaling down to 1 bedroom apartments, capping the price at $275K and heading to the western part of the city. Welcome to Real Estate Death Match: Wesley Heights vs. Glover Park Edition!

? Address: 4201 Cathedral Avenue NW #217 E
Price: $269,000
Square Feet: 885
Beds, Baths: 1/1

Already we're impressed with a spacious one bedroom that's as large as the two bedroom condos we featured last week. That living room is enormous! Plus, $269K is impressively low for a neighborhood that regularly features some of D.C.'s most exorbitant real estate. Additionally, there's an outdoor pool for when the weather warms back up.

? Address: 4100 W Street NW #213
Price: $275,000
Square Feet: 721
Beds, Baths: 1/1

The space currently occupied by this AC/DC fan and liquor connoisseur is a little smaller but it gets points for the opening that allows the person in the kitchen to see the rest of the condo without feeling super cramped. That walk-in closet is also the opposite of super cramped. Also, the building has a sweet roof deck and a front lobby with ceiling to floor windows that allow for close communion with the outdoors.
