The controversial project at 5333 Connecticut Avenue that was 22 years in the making isn't going to look like the glassy structure pictured in the rendering that has been circulating through the media. This is according to principal with the project, Jane Cafritz, who was on hand at a recent well-attended community meeting where neighbors voiced their concerns, laughed at some of the responses from the developers (such as the suggestion that adding another hundred cars is going to ease the traffic down the main arteries), and tried to calm people down without really answering their questions. Even though the neighbors aren't happy there's very little they can do to prevent the development from going through since it has already been approved (even though that was two decades ago).
