Residents of The Velocity building in the Capitol Riverfront have banded together to try to turn a nearby unused government building into an open air market similar to the Eastern and Union Markets (but still different enough there wouldn't be much overlap). In order to make use of the building at a heavily reduced rate organizers will have to provide an educational benefit to the community, hence the plan to have a demonstration kitchen. They're planning a community presentation in February but are asking for feedback in an online survey beforehand with questions like: rate the value of the Half Street market to serve as a food business incubator for Capitol Riverfront.
