Hoped For Food Market in Southeast Wants Community Input

Residents of The Velocity building in the Capitol Riverfront have banded together to try to turn a nearby unused government building into an open air market similar to the Eastern and Union Markets (but still different enough there wouldn't be much overlap). In order to make use of the building at a heavily reduced rate organizers will have to provide an educational benefit to the community, hence the plan to have a demonstration kitchen. ("Think TOP CHEF with realtime streaming cyber links to DCPC Schools, Howard University, GW University and University of District of Columbia.") They're planning a community presentation in February but are asking for feedback in an online survey beforehand with questions like: rate the value of the Half Street market to serve as a food business incubator for Capitol Riverfront.
