Sunday's NYT Politics section has a profile of Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor and gives a brief mention of her new digs in DC. Her purchase of a condo off of U Street this summer made news because it wasn't a high-falutin' address but instead she chose to live amongst the proletariat (see pictures from our earlier coverage). But the New Yorker at heart likes that kind of thing. As she told NYT, "It has a touch of the East Village in it. I picked it because it's mixed. I walk out and I see all kinds of people, which is the environment I grew up in and the environment I love." [previously; NYT]
