Ward Five's Chuck Brown Park Is A Go-Go

Yesterday Mayor Gray tweeted the news that he had signed into law a new amphitheater and outdoor greenspace in Langdon Park that is to honor Chuck Brown (DC homeboy long-considered the father of go-go music) but it wasn't until later in the day a few local publications shared the renderings that were revealed at the event. In disco colors they show that there will be both places for people to relax under the trees as well as a stage for musical acts so they can get their jam on. The same group that redeveloped Howard Theater, Marshall Moya, is taking on the project and planners expect it to be ready before the warm weather hits so it can get a full season of usage in 2013.
