There was once a plan to have three concentric ring roads around DC, if you can believe that. Hard to say if it would have made traffic better or just invited even more people to come and live here, but it gets brought up every time the discussion about building more bridges over the Potomac circles back around. Now that the ICC is in place and the HOV lines in Virginia are starting soon are we so used to paying tolls that we'll say to yes to more transportation projects?
