DC's Men's Sartorial Scene Blooms; Suitsupply Opens In Georgetown; Ann Taylor Expands In The DMV

Welcome to Racked DC where we dig deep into the retail world and let you know about the latest happenings in fashion and shopping. Know of something interesting coming to town? Send the news into our tipline.

DUPONT—This is the season of guys getting all the attention. Michael Andrews Bespoke, one of NYC's premier tailors, has announced DC will be the scene for his second location at 1604 17th St NW. Michael Andrews will be in a "stately brownstone in Dupont Circle" and "will blend the high-polish look of the company's New York flagship with the relaxed feel of a well-appointed townhome". GEORGETOWN—And just so DC's men don't have any excuses to be schlubby, Suitsupply's third US store is opening today at 11am in the Four Seasons in Georgetown at 2828 Pennsylvania Ave NW. So gentlemen, it's time to step it up several notches and let the ladies know we can keep it right and keep it tight. [Suitsupply Tumblr]

DUPONTRiccardi of Georgetown is crossing Rock Creek Parkway and selling its Italian men's suits in the space formerly occupied by Service Point. It'll be located at 1300 Connecticut Ave NW, just south of the circle. And after getting decked out in a fine suit, there's Black & Orange burgers next door. [PoP]

TYSONS CORNER—Ann Taylor has solid, yet chic, offerings for its female clientele, and the brand's newest store takes its customer service to the next level. With "stylists on hand to help clients put together the perfect look", the "new concept stores are designed to make shopping easier". Inspiration for Ann Taylor's line is a 60s-era Parisian atelier, so you can look like you hopped across the pond without spending too much money. And if Tysons is too far, check out another soon-to-be Ann Taylor store coming to Union Station. [Capitol File]

TYSONS CORNER—Tysons Galleria (or Tysons II for those who keep it old school) is welcoming another new store: Lilly Pulitzer. Known for its preppy attire, the brand's fame really came when a little McLean housewife known as Jackie Kennedy wore one of the brand's wares on the cover of Time. Maybe Lilly Pulitzer will be neighbors to Ann Taylor? [TysonsCornerPatch]
